Every Day

August 4, 2009
tags:

I wake up in the morning and
fall back into a reverie
spinning my own world order

I worry I will fall down again
for the billionth time
and won’t be able to pick me up

heavy jara tears spill from my peepers
overwhelming this pumpkin sized heart
flying off the handle

drops become oil slicks
releasing what’s stuck in us:

we are superheroes costumed in the everyday
sowing justice

it’s not luck that will save us
we’ll get there
by kicking
asses
